What makes Birra Moretti so special?

Here at Birra Moretti we have a long history of quality. Our beer has been lovingly brewed the same way since 1859, using a recipe which was first crafted by Luigi Moretti in the beautiful Italian town of Udine. It is the perfect beer to enjoy while relaxing with family and friends, sharing delicious food and good times.

Who is the man with the moustache on our label?

Ah, you’ve spotted him. The man sipping a fresh pint of Moretti on our label is ‘Baffo’. The story goes that Luigi Moretti’s nephew saw Baffo in a bar and instantly knew he’d found the embodiment of the real values of his beer in this man. Being a passionate type, Moretti’s nephew approached Baffo, asking him for a photograph. Baffo requested one thing in return – another Birra Moretti. He has been on our labels ever since.

What is Birra Moretti’s ethos?

Birra Moretti celebrates the importance of making time for what matters. Quality time with close family and friends, swapping stories and making memories as time ticks slowly by –  life’s simple pleasures. These moments are even better when accompanied by a Birra Moretti, of course.

Birra Moretti is a low fermentation beer, made from a blend of fine hops, giving it a pleasant taste that is finely bitter and balanced, with floral notes and initial aromas of barley malt.

What is the best food pairing for Birra Moretti?

Birra Moretti’s balanced flavour makes it the perfect accompaniment to any dish – for lunch, dinner or with a handful of salted snacks for an early evening treat. It pairs perfectly with simple flavours and rustic dishes. Our favourite? Handmade pizza, hot from the oven!

Which Birra Moretti beers are available?

Our most popular beer is Birra Moretti L’Autentica but you can also enjoy our Le Regionali beers La Toscana and La Siciliana as well as our double malt beer Grani Antichi. Birra Moretti Zero is our delicious alcohol-free beer.

Do you use natural ingredients in your beer?

Yes, all ingredients we use to make our beers are natural.

How should I store Birra Moretti?

Birra Moretti should be stored in a clean, dry and well ventilated place. It is best served chilled, so make sure to put it in the fridge beforehand for the ultimate experience.

Is Birra Moretti gluten free?

We’re afraid not. Birra Moretti is not gluten free. Barley is a key ingredient in our brewing process.

Does Birra Moretti contain nuts?

No, our beers do not contain nuts.

What is the alcohol content of Birra Moretti?

Our L’Autentica beer has an alcohol content of 4.6% alcohol by volume (ABV).  La Toscana is 5.5% ABV, La Siciliana 5.8% ABV and Birra Moretti contains no more than 0.05% ABV.
